Terms and Conditions of Participation and Usage of this Website

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before registering for the Freedom Run 2025 event. By completing your registration for the event and by using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms.

1. Event Overview & Acceptance of Risk

1.1. Freedom Run 2025 ("the Event") is organized by Freedom Run Manipal, located in Manipal, India. The Event will take place on August 10, 2025, with the theme "Stride with Pride for Our Armed Forces."

1.2. Participation in a marathon event carries inherent risks, including but not limited to, those related to physical exertion, adverse weather conditions, dehydration, falls, and contact with other participants or objects. All participants voluntarily assume these risks.

1.3. Participants are solely responsible for their own safety and well-being during the Event. Freedom Run Manipal, its organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and associated entities will not be held liable for any injury, death, loss, or damage to property arising from participation in the Event, except in cases of willful misconduct by the organizers.

2. Eligibility and Registration

2.1. Participants must meet the minimum age requirements for their chosen race category as of August 10, 2025. Children must be accompanied by their Parents or Local Guardian, and they will be responsible solely for the well-being of the Minor Concerned.

2.2. All participants must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process. Providing false information may lead to disqualification and forfeiture of registration fees.

2.3. Registration is personal and non-transferable. Bib numbers cannot be transferred to another person.

2.4. Registration fees are as, and such decided by the Organizers for any specific event and is subject to change.

2.5. All registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to, non-participation, injury, illness, or cancellation of the Event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions).

2.6. The organizers reserve the right to refuse or revoke participation at their sole discretion without providing a reason.

3. Health and Medical Conditions

3.1. Participants must be in good physical health and adequately trained to complete the chosen distance. It is strongly recommended that all participants consult with a medical professional before registering and participating in the Event.

3.2. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or who are taking medication must disclose this information during registration and carry appropriate personal medication or medical alerts during the Event.

3.3. In the event of a medical emergency during the race, participants consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary by the Event's medical personnel. Participants are responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

4. Event Rules and Conduct

4.1. Participants must adhere to all instructions given by Event officials, marshals, and medical personnel.

4.2. Participants must follow the designated racecourse. Any deviation from the course may lead to disqualification.

4.3. Bib numbers must be clearly visible on the front of the participant's attire throughout the race.

4.4. Participants are prohibited from using unauthorized vehicles, bicycles, or any other wheeled conveyances during the race, except for wheelchairs for approved para-athletes. Strollers are not permitted in timed race categories.

4.5. Disruptive, unsportsmanlike, or dangerous behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate disqualification.

4.6. Littering on the racecourse or surrounding areas is strictly prohibited. Participants are expected to respect the environment.

4.7. In Case of Payment Failure, please contact your Branch. Please wait for our Email Confirmation for 48 to 72 Hours after you have made the Payment for the event.

4.8 If you have made wrong Payment for any Event. Immediately Contact the Event organizers or drop an email to us. It is at the sole discretion of the Event Organizer to adjust any Changes to your Wrong Registration.

5. Photography, Videography, and Media Rights

5.1. By participating in the Freedom Run, participants grant Freedom Run Manipal and its affiliates the irrevocable right to use photographs, videos, audio recordings, and any other media taken during the Event for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes, without compensation. This includes, but is not limited to, use on the website, social media channels (@FreedmRun on Instagram, Freedom Run on Facebook), and any future promotional materials.

5.2. Participants waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein their likeness appears.

6. Race Cancellation or Modification

6.1. Freedom Run Manipal reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the Event due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to, extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, or governmental directives.

6.2. In the event of cancellation, postponement, or significant modification, participants will not be entitled to a refund of registration fees. The organizers will endeavor to communicate any changes to registered participants as promptly as possible via email (admin@freedomrunmanipal.com) and via the official website.

7. Data Privacy

7.1. Personal information collected during registration will be used for Event administration, communication, and statistical analysis.

7.2. Freedom Run Manipal will take reasonable steps to protect participant data; however, it cannot guarantee absolute security against unauthorized access or disclosure.

8. Disqualification

8.1. Participants may be disqualified from the Event for, but not limited to, the following reasons: Failure to adhere to these Terms and Conditions. Violation of race rules or instructions from officials. Unsportsmanlike conduct. Receiving unauthorized assistance. Tampering with bib numbers or timing chips. Providing false information during registration.

8.2. Disqualified participants will not be eligible for finisher medals, official times, or prize money, and their registration fees will not be refunded.

9. Prizes and Awards

9.1. Total prizes worth more than 5 Lakh will be awarded. Specific prize categories and eligibility criteria will be announced on the official website.

9.2. All prize winners may be required to provide valid identification for verification purposes.

9.3 Decision regarding the Winners and Prizes are at the sole discretion of the Organizers.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

10.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

10.2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Event shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Manipal, Karnataka, India.

11. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

11.1. Freedom Run Manipal reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be published on the official website, and it is the participant's responsibility to review them periodically.
